1. Operator and acceptance

BidAKey is a QwertyKey campaign operated by QWERTY KEY SRL, CUI 44393084, Str. Oituz no. 3A, Baia Mare, Maramureș, Romania. Contact: contact@qwertykey.ro.

You must be at least 18 and authorised to represent the brand for which you bid. By submitting, you accept these Terms and confirm that you can lawfully use the uploaded artwork.

2. Limited-edition condition

The campaign has 82 spots — 81 keys and the strap — and closes on Sunday, 20 September 2026 at 22:00 (Romania time). QwertyKey will produce the limited edition, with a production run of at least 100 keyboards, only if every spot has a bid paid before the deadline, approved and leading after review.

No new bids or payments are accepted after the deadline. Bids paid on time may be reviewed for up to 24 hours afterwards. Final results follow payment reconciliation; a processing error is not treated as a failed payment.

The strap is included in the 82-spot production threshold.

If the threshold is not reached, the edition will not enter production, there are no final winners, and we initiate full refunds of eligible payments through Stripe. Depending on the card issuer, funds can take approximately 5–10 business days to reappear.

3. How bidding works

1. Every key and the strap are separate spots. A bid must meet the displayed minimum. For a claimed spot, the new minimum is the latest approved purchase price plus at least 10% (minimum 10 RON), rounded up to a whole RON and converted at the campaign rate. Bids already registered before this rule was introduced retain the increment rule accepted when they were created.
2. Artificial bidding is prohibited. You may not outbid yourself through other accounts or cards. We may request identity and brand representation evidence.
3. The highest approved bid leads. Equal valid bids are ordered by payment confirmation time, then by the time the bids were received.
4. A spot is claimed within the auction only after payment confirmation and approval of the brand and artwork. Contractual confirmation of the spot follows section 5.1.

Rejected, cancelled, failed, refunded or bids still unreviewed after the 24-hour review window cannot win and do not count toward the threshold. Submit complete artwork and details early. Server status and pricing prevail over a stale browser page.

4. Payment and refunds

Payments on bid.qwertykey.eu are in EUR; payments on bid.qwertykey.ro are in RON. Both domains share the same auction at the fixed campaign rate of €1 = 5 lei. Bids are compared in RON. EUR bids use €0.20 units, equivalent to 1 leu. Refunds return the original amount in the original payment currency. This campaign rate remains fixed; it is not a market exchange rate. Any currency conversion or fees applied by your bank are separate.

The amount displayed at payment confirmation is the amount actually charged by Stripe. For top-ups, this is the difference above the amounts already paid for the participation. We initiate a full refund if the artwork is rejected, a higher approved bid overtakes it, or the campaign threshold is not reached, subject to the return window displayed for the participation after outbidding in section 4.1. A leading bid cannot be withdrawn unilaterally.

Auction participation payments serve as security deposits for the submitted bids and retain that status until the individual contract takes effect. Once both parties have signed, the winning bid’s deposit is applied in full towards payment of the awarded service. QwertyKey issues the tax invoice in accordance with applicable legislation, using the billing details supplied by the beneficiary.

For a business purchase, the bidder selects the option at card payment and provides a VAT / Tax ID. The Beneficiary supplies complete billing details and is responsible for their accuracy, including the fiscal identifier. A dispute, reversal or partial refund suspends eligibility. A lost dispute removes the bid; a won dispute can restore eligibility only if the bid has not already been outbid or cancelled. Money returned through a dispute is not refunded a second time.

4.1. Paying the difference and email access

While available for the campaign, top-ups appear automatically for eligible participations on the same spot and in their original currency, without a separate activation checkbox. Charge amounts, currencies and payment history are preserved. Funds already queued for refund cannot be reused. Automatic enrollment includes only bids that accepted the top-up terms. Earlier bids retain their accepted refund policy. Access on any device requires verification of the same email address.

When a paid, approved bid overtakes yours, funds may be retained for up to 24 hours, capped at the auction deadline. The My bids popup shows the exact deadline. While outbid, you can pay the difference or request a full refund. Leading bids remain binding, subject to mandatory statutory rights.

Expiry, withdrawal, rejection or campaign cancellation queues all eligible payments for refund. Each payment, including every top-up, returns to its original method and currency, without us deducting Stripe fees. Refunds may appear separately. A top-up paid before its deadline and still under review remains eligible until the campaign review window ends; this does not permit new payments after the individual deadline. In-flight payments are reconciled; a payment confirmed after withdrawal is included in refunds without reactivating the bid. Disputes are reconciled to avoid duplicate reimbursement.

A top-up does not guarantee leadership. The total and eligibility are checked against the current leader. If already insufficient, funds remain available until the original window deadline and can be withdrawn. Failed payments, changing devices or opening the page do not extend the window. A new window starts only after regaining leadership and being outbid again.

Operational emails are scheduled at the start and, where the window allows, with 2 hours, 30 minutes and 5 minutes remaining. Emails show the fixed deadline in Romania time; the live countdown is on the site. Provider delivery does not determine expiry. Public windows disclose only deadlines, without private emails or balances, and do not reserve the spot or prevent other bids.

5. Artwork and production

If the edition enters production, the logo of each winner whose individual contract has entered into force appears on the selected key or strap across all keyboards in the edition. The edition will have a production run of at least 100 keyboards. The 3D preview is indicative. We may adjust size, contrast, strap colour, placement or files for legibility and production, and may request final vector artwork or proof of rights.

We reject unlawful, deceptive, sexually explicit, hateful, profane, dangerous or infringing content, and content harmful to QwertyKey. You retain ownership of the artwork and allow us to use the uploaded artwork for bid review and the 3D preview. The non-exclusive licence to adapt, manufacture, photograph, film and promote the artwork in connection with BidAKey and the limited edition is established by the individual contract, within its stated limits.

5.1. Individual contract and spot confirmation

Spot confirmation is formalised through an individual contract. After announcing the final auction result, QwertyKey sends the winner the contract and its annexes for signature.

The winner has 5 calendar days from receipt of the complete documentation to return the signed contract. QwertyKey may extend this deadline with written confirmation.

The contract takes effect once both parties have signed, on the date of the last signature. It specifies the awarded service, price, artwork, production conditions and limits of the usage licence.

If the signing deadline, including any extension, expires without the signed contract being returned, QwertyKey may declare the spot unawarded and communicate that decision by written notice. The spot may be offered to the next eligible participant, considering only bids submitted and paid before the auction closed. If no participant is eligible, the spot remains unoccupied.

When a spot is declared unawarded, all amounts paid for it are returned in accordance with section 5.2. Payment processor fees are not deducted from the refund.

5.2. Refunds for unawarded spots

Following written notice declaring a spot unawarded, QwertyKey initiates a full refund of the amounts paid for the participation on that spot, including top-ups. Payment processor fees are not deducted.

Each payment returns to its original method and currency. Refunds may appear separately on the statement. Depending on the card issuer, funds can take approximately 5–10 business days to reappear. Amounts already returned through a refund or dispute are not reimbursed a second time.

6. Keyboard and retail sale

The edition is based on QK75HE, our Hall Effect and Rapid Trigger model. The edition will have a production run of at least 100 keyboards, offered separately for sale, including the preorders described below, while stock remains.

The bid concerns the brand-placement service on a key or the strap, confirmed by the individual contract under section 5.1; it does not automatically include a keyboard, category exclusivity, royalties or a share of sales. Physical keyboard preorders are subject to section 6.1 below.

6.1. QK75HE Limited Edition preorders

A preorder purchases the selected quantity of physical QK75HE Limited Edition keyboards, separately from brand-placement bids. The price on bid.qwertykey.eu is €100 per keyboard, paid in full through Stripe, including VAT where applicable and shipping within Romania. The announced launch price is €160; the approximately 37.5% saving compares with that future price, not a previously charged price. The edition will have a production run of at least 100 keyboards. The total displayed and paid in full is the unit price multiplied by the confirmed quantity. Payment is available by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, subject to device compatibility and Stripe availability.

Included: Custom box, QK75HE keyboard, Power cable, Keycap puller, Keycap set with the winning brands, Stickers, Card with your chosen text. The checkout image is an indicative snapshot of the 3D scene when opened. The final artwork includes the brands that win after campaign closure, bid review and payment reconciliation; it can differ from the preview.

The package includes the keyboard with the edition’s final artwork and a card printed with the buyer’s chosen text, up to 20 characters. This text is required and confirmed before payment; for multiple units, the same text is printed on the card in every box.

Estimated delivery: Q4 2026. The exact date will be announced after the campaign ends. Material delays are communicated in writing. The estimate does not allow indefinite delays or limit statutory non-delivery remedies.

Checkout on bid.qwertykey.ro supports Romanian delivery with shipping included. On bid.qwertykey.eu, buyers can select any country listed in the form. For destinations outside Romania, the initial payment covers products only; shipping is not included. After the campaign, we calculate an individual quote based on destination, parcel volume and weight, and the carrier’s rate. Buyers explicitly acknowledge this procedure before paying for the products. The shipping quote is communicated and paid separately after approval; the card is not charged automatically. Statutory consumer rights remain applicable.

Preorders cannot be cancelled or refunded on request, except where required by law. We do not offer voluntary returns. Goods made to the buyer’s individual specifications or clearly personalised are exempt from the right of withdrawal under Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU and Romanian OUG 34/2014. For goods outside this exception, consumers retain their statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from receipt.

Acceptance does not waive mandatory withdrawal, conformity, legal guarantee or non-delivery rights. If the production threshold is not met, the edition is cancelled or the product cannot be supplied, we initiate a full refund to the original payment method. For statutory withdrawal, returns or warranty requests, contact contact@qwertykey.ro; statutory time limits and conditions, including return of the goods, apply.

Preorders are confirmed after server verification of payment. Delivery details and any company name, tax / VAT ID and billing address are retained to fulfil and invoice the order. Invoices are issued separately. The required checkbox records acceptance of this version of the terms and confirmation of quantity and card text, and acknowledgement of evolving artwork, estimated delivery and the cancellation and refund policy. Buyers must be at least 18.

7. Communications and results

We send operational emails about verification, payment, approval, outbidding, refunds and final results. We will include the limited edition in QwertyKey content. We do not guarantee an exact production date, sell-through, or an exact number of posts, impressions, views, clicks, leads or sales. Material changes will be communicated in writing.

8. Availability and liability

We may correct obvious errors, reject fraud or suspend a spot for technical, legal or production reasons. Written confirmation, Stripe records and server state prevail over an erroneous display. To the extent allowed by law, total liability relating to a bid does not exceed the amount paid for it. Romanian law applies without limiting mandatory consumer rights.

9. Privacy and intellectual property

Our Privacy Policy explains data processing. BidAKey, QwertyKey, the QK75 HE design, 3D model and campaign materials belong to QwertyKey or are used with permission. No licence to them is transferred to a bidder beyond mandatory legal rights.
